Here are a few pics to update some of the progress on dad’s layout
This is the new drop bridge I built. I wired it so the trains will only run when the bridge is up and are dead when it’s down.
We also had a little progress on the mountain and tunnel in the back corner.
Here are some pics of the Ho scale layout I’m building for my dad in his basement. There is also a category on my website called “Dad’s Ho Scale Layout” where you can find future updates.
It was suggested a few weeks ago to do a video on how to hook up and use the programming track I built a while back to my laptop and how JMRI works. Here it is I hope it helps.
So now it’s a new year so I decided to try something new and I bought the JMRI Decoder Pro software and the sprog II hardware. .Now with this I also wanted to be able to use it on my workbench which meant I needed to make a programming track to use it with. I also wanted it to be for both HO and N scales and be portable so this is what I came up with.
A little fun with a new locomotive I got for Christmas.
This will be the last update on the forest project.
This is the final part in this build. We will finish up with getting the ground cover done.
Today lets add some color and get everything painted so it brings some life to the mountain side.
This part we will begin by installing the tunnel portals and tunnel liner.
