Just a quick look at the completed backdrop and a look at how the roads came out.
This is the last part of the backdrop that needs to be done. In this video we’ll go a little deeper into layering and altering photos photos to show depth in the backdrop.
Lets get the roads roughed in and start the ground cover to bring everything together.
Yes! Now it’s time to build the fuel/service area for the train yard. This is also the first video I do using 2 cameras. It’s a little rough in places but I think it’s now worked out.
Let’s finish up the maintenance area scenery starting with finishing the ballast bins and adding some greenery.
Let’s start getting the yard put together. I’m going to start by building the maintenance area with a building and lighting.

That’s right the lights are finally on! I installed the station and put the power to it. I’ve waited a long time for this! Take a look!
Lets look at how the station lights will get wired to power under the layout.
Continuing on with the ground cover let’s get the tracks under the station ballasted.
