Now that all the track work around the roundhouse area is done it’s finally time to begin the work of installing and aligning the roundhouse and turntable.
This week I had to repair some of the old cork roadbed around the turntable before installation can begin on the track.
I Finally got the hole cut for the turntable and it’s time to get the rise built for the track that will go around the outside of the yard.
Now it’s time to tackle the roundhouse and begin to get the floor installed.
In this part I wanted to install the roundhouse floor But couldn’t make that happen so I thought I would share one of the buildings I built for the new area and how it will work with the mirror I installed earlier.
Part 12 UPDATE, This is a video update showing the completed side of the yard and what’s next to be done.
Now it’s time to install the mirror on the far end of the yard, so I thought I would take a little bit of time to talk about different types of mirror to use on your layout.
Now it’s finally time to start laying the new track. After a small oversight it’s all going well.
Now that all the mainline turnouts and changes have been completed it’s time to begin installing the cork road bed.
This video will finally finish the main line turnouts and crossovers. We will also look at how I’m going to end another line at a wall.
