Thank you Mike.
My n scale layout is 2′ x 4′ and I want to do a backdrop for the 2 foot end.
So I’m not going to go for the 6 DVD set you mention.
If I want to use images of my own or something I can get online, what is the correct way to scale it down.
You said, for example that the trees backdrop was full-size and the city backdrop to go behind it was half-size.
My question: what would full-size for n scale be?
Hello Mike.
In the past you have been nice enough to provide advice so I will impose once more.
Have you ever used n-scale window screen material if there is such a thing?
I have found this https://www.ngineering.com/micromesh.htm.
I’m wondering if you know about anything else.
Thank you.

Hi Laurel, I’m assuming you want to make a chain link fence. I did a video on how I made a chain link fence on my YouTube channel a while back. here is a link to it. I hope this helps.
Mike, thanks for your quick reply.
No, not a chain link fence.
I am building a little cabin in the woods and the “prototype” has screened windows.
The link I sent is for window screening material.
It may not be possible in n-scale. I just thought you might have an idea.
ok well if you look at the bottom of the video description there is a link to something called tulle fabric it’s what I used to make the fence but it might work for your project and it MUCH cheaper than than the stuff you linked to me.
It’s weird to think that a chain link fence and a window screen can both be represented by the same material–but I guess that’s n-scale.
Thanks again for your help.
Hello Mike,
Sometime could you please say something about how you made the backdrop. Or have you already done that and I missed it?
Thanks.
